Most adult adoptions can be completed in 7-12 weeks (stepparent of minors a few months longer), start-to-finish. I know all the "tricks" for the fastest possible adoption learned in three+ decades of doing adoption cases.

I understand you want to know in advance what your adoption will cost, so the flat fee for adult adoptions is only $2,250. (This is when the person or stepchild is 18+) Stepparent adoptions of minor children have a flat fee of $2,500. Please click the type of interest to you below.
Most family law attorneys charge you hourly, so you have only a vague idea what the final cost will be. The flat fee even includes the court filing fee and attorney's office costs. The point is to give you one simple fee.

STEP ONE: Read about the type of adoption you wish to do: adult or stepparent. Click on the QUESTIONNAIRE, and click "submit" and you will receive a call shortly to schedule your free, detailed consultation, conveniently by Zoom.
STEP TWO: When you are ready to start, you will be send a short and simple retainer. For adult adoption it will specify the flat fee of $1,850. For the stepparent adoption of a minor it will be a flat fee of $2,500 (plus your required agency investigation, which is $700, and $64 fingerprinting fee for the adopting stepparent).
STEP THREE: Upon receiving your retainer, within 5 business days your legal documents for the court will be prepared and emailed to you to sign and return, whereupon they will be filed with the court, and the process begins.
